08-19-05 - Lowell, MA - This past Friday night, Handsome Johnny faced the toughest challenge of his career in 3-time WWE Tag Team Champion Charlie Haas. For the first 15 minutes of the match, Handsome and Charlie went toe-to-toe as both tried everything they could to finish off the other. After the referee was mistakenly knocked out, Mike Kruel entered the ring with his title belt in hand. As both Handsome and Haas rose to their feet, Kruel attempted to hit Handsome over the head with the belt - however Handsome ducked, and Kruel nailed Haas with the belt instead! Handsome tossed a shocked Kruel out of the ring, and covered Haas for the 1-2-3 and a title shot at Mike Kruel at SUMMER CHAOS.

After the match, Handsome grabbed the microphone and informed Kruel that no matter what Kruel had thrown at him over the past 3 months, Handsome rose to the challenge and succeeded each and every time. Now it is finally time for Handsome's destiny to come true, as he gets his shot at Kruel and his CW Heavyweight Title at SUMMER CHAOS on September 9th.

As Kruel started to retreat to the lockerroom, Handsome helped Charile to his feet, showing a great amount of respect to a truly great competitor. As Handsome extended his hand to Haas for a post-match handshake, Charlie shockingly hoisted Handsome on his shoulders and nailed Johnny with an "Angle Slam". As Handsome was down from the attack by Haas, Charlie invited Kruel into the ring in a "he's all yours" gesture. Kruel grabbed a steel chair from ringside and stood over the fallen Handsome Johnny.

Kruel then proceeded to decimate Handsome with the steel chair, continually smashing the chair across Handsome's back. As Kruel finished up his assault, he dropped the steel chair onto the prone body of Handsome Johnny, and raised his title belt above his head in an arrogant "victory" celebration.
